Fishing in New Zealand.
High praise for the fishing in New Zealand, which he said could not be obtained under as good conditions anywhere else in the world was expressed by Colonel E. S. C. Willis, of Alderney, in the Channel Islands, who has been fishing in Lake Taupo, and proceeded to the South Island with the same object. He said that he did not think enough was heard about it in England, and he intended to recommend New Zealand to his friends who were looking for good fishing. He found travel in New Zealand ■ very comfortable,, and the people very obliging, but he considered that it would be a great help to tourists if it were possible to hire a motor car at Auckland and'leave it in the south, to avoid having to take it back.
