Miss Yvonne Wills, of Pahiatua, left yesterday to spend a month’s holiday in Australia.

Mrs Pt. Vautier has returned to Whakaronga after a short slay in Masterton.

A Carterton visitor to Rongomai was Mrs Edwards, who stayed with her daughter Mrs L. Eagle.

Mrs Gustofsen, of Rongomai, is visiting Carterton, where she is the guest of her daughter, Mrs M. Taucher. Miss Thompson, of Rongomai, is spending a holiday in Wellington. She will later visit Wanganui. Miss Yvonne Matthews, of Pahiatua, is spending a holiday in New Plymouth.

Mrs J. Smith and Miss Smith have returned to Masterton after spending a holiday in Foxtbn as the guests of Mrs W. E. Woodham, Norbiton Road. Mrs E. Hutchings, who has been visiting her sister, Mrs W. H. Lawry, Pahiatua, is now visiting her mother, Mrs E. E. Goss, Nireaha, before returning to Alfredton.

A large number of friends gathered at the residence of Mrs H. A. Gardner, Pahiatua, on Wednesday, to farewell Mrs J...Cleghorn, who leaves shortly with her husband to Spend an extended holiday in the United States. The hostesses were Mesdames H. Mackley, Doyle Moncrieff, H. A. Gardner and J. Husband. During the afternoon Mrs Mackley asked Mrs Cleghorn to accept from her Pahiatua friends a handsome crystal clock. Mrs Cleghorn, who suitably replied, was accorded musical honours.

At the annual meeting of the lady members of the Pahiatua Golf Club the following officers were elected for the ensuing year: Captain, Miss M. Raleigh; vice-captaifi;'"Mrs T. G. Harvey; secretary, Mrs A. D’. Donald; committee, Mesdames S. K. Siddells, N. H. Rawson, W. Hall Watson and Miss Arrow. The resignation of Miss Boyd, who has been women’s captain for the past two years, was accepted with regret, and she was complimented on the service she had given the club during her captaincy. '
