BOWLING CLUB. CHAMPION RINKS FINAL. (“Times-Age” Special.) In the final champion rinks game in connection with the Greytown Club H. Rees, V. Vile, W. Kilgour, W. Higgison defeated G. Brunton, H. J. Nightingale, L. Curtis, H. G. Carter. Playing for the Dennes Medal W. Higgison defeated R. G. Vile on the 21st head. Personals. Mr W. H. Gordon returned home yesterday after a visit to the Manawatu district. Mr G. F. Eagar has been appointed to the staff of the Greytown Hospital. Mrs Ken Hassall, of Wellington, is staying with her mother, Mrs R. Thomas, Moroa. Mrs Max Maddison, who has been staying with her mother, Mrs A. M. Haigh, returned to Hastings today. Mr and Mrs J. Pope, of Raurimu, have been on a visit to the Wairarapa. They returned home yesterday. Garden Party. The beautiful grounds and surroundings at Mr F. C. Bunny’s should make the St Luke’s Garden Party a popular place on Saturday. Large entries have already been received for the ; Baby Show. Mrs B. Jury has kindly consented to act as judge. School Sports. The school sports at Greytown on Monday afternoon should be most successful as the arrangements are well in hand. Parents are cordially invited to be present at the gathering.
