COMING-OF-AGE

PARTY AT DALEFIELD HALL. (“Times-Age” Special.) A most enjoyable time was spent in the Dalefield Hall on Saturday evening when Mr and Mrs P. Hodder entertained about 150 guests at a party and dance to celebrate the coming of age of their son Noel. Competitions for Lucky Spot and Monte Carlo dances were won by Miss W. Knutson and Mr J. Burden and Miss I. Hooper and Mr S. Clarke, respectively. After supper had been served Mr W. Press proposed the health of the guest of honour, which was drunk with musical honours. The beautiful birthday cake was the gift of the guest’s sister (Miss L. Hodder, of Greytown).

The evening was brought to a close with the singing of Auld Lang Syne and three hearty cheers for Mr and Mrs Hodder.
