It’s a comedy that has just got all it takes to make a fine evening’s entertainment. FRIDAY: “The Mad Miss Manton' (Barbara Stanwyck), leading a group of society girls to solve the crime oi the year" and a handsome young editor (Henry Fonda), is sued by the same girl, romance mystery and comedy are the headlines. Also screening: Walt Disney s latest coloured classic, “Good Scout.” COSY. MARCH 17—20: “Heart of Arizona,’ another good Hopalong Cassidy show, starring William Boyd supported bj Windy Hayes, Russell Hayden and Natalie Moorhead. “Hunted Men,” Lloyd Nolan, Mary Carlisle, Buster Crabbe, Lynne Overman and J. Carroll Naish. Commencing at the Saturday matinee the first thrilling episodeof “Flash Gordon’s Trip tc Mars.”
MARCH 21—23: “The Great Gambini,’ with Akim Tamiroff, Marian Marsh. Reginald Denny, Genevieve Tobin. “Arizona Raiders,” Buster Crabbe. Marsha Hunt. Raymond Hatton Johnny Downs and Grant Withers.
MARCH 24 —27: “Boots and Saddles,” Gene Autry at his best, with Ronnie Sinclair, Smiley Burnette and Judith Allen. “City Streets,” Leo Carillo, Edith Fellowes, Helen Jerome Eddy, Tommy Bond and Mary Gordon. . REGENT. MARCH 18 —21: “Blockheads," Laurel and Hardy, Billy Gilbert, Patricia Ellis, James Finlayson, Minna Gombell. Excellent featurettes inclu'de “Nostrodarnus,” a Carey Wilson historical mystery, “Young Dr. Carver,” a biography, and “A Crime Does Not Pay—Think it Over.”
MARCH 22 —24: “Toy Wife,” featuring Louise Rainer, Melvyn Douglas, Robert Young, H. B. Warner and Barbara O’Neil.
MARCH 25—28: "Boy From Barnardoes,” starring Freddie Bartholomew and Mickey Rooney, and supported by Herbert Mundin, Gale Sonderguard, Terry Kilburn, George Zuceo. Short subjects include Robert Benchley comedy, Pete Smith oddity, “The Miracle of Salt Lake” and an “Our Gang” comedy.
