HOSPITAL MENACED

GRASS FIRE AT GREYTOWN.

GOOD WORK BY STAFF. “A grass fire in a paddock directly behind the hospital buildings on February 20 caused some consternation,’ stated the Matron of the Greytown Hospital in her report to today’s meeting of the Wairarapa Hospital Board. The male staff, she added, kept the fire under control, and although buildings were menaced no damage was done. j “They all had the wind up,” remarked the managing-secretary, Mr Norman Lee.

Votes of thanks were passed to the staff, and a donation of £2 2s was made to the Greytown Fire Brigade.
