(To the Editor.) Sir,—Hats off to the Carter ton Fire Brigade. They have won the New Zealand championship at the Fire Brigades’ Demonstrations. Where did Masterton come? I am, etc, OLD STAGER. The Superintendent of the Masterton Fire Brigade, Mr T. B. Clark, stated today that the Masterton Brigade did not compete. The permanent members of a brigade did not compete al the championships. There was, he said, a small auxiliary staff attached to the Masterton Brigade, and it had been quite open to those men to compete it they had so desired. •
