BEAUTIFUL BLOOMS

MAURICEVILLE GARDENING CIRCLE FLOWER SHOW ON SATURDAY. FULL LIST OF AWARDS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Mauriceville and District Gardening Circle held its- annual flower show in the Mauriceville Hall on Saturday. The show as usual attracted keen interest and well over 700 entries were received in the various classes. In spite of the rather unfavourable season the quality of the flowers, fruit and vegetables was excellent and drew very favourablec omment from the judges. The president of the Circle, Miss Heckler introduced Mrs R. Miller, who officially' opened the show, and thanked the exhibitors, judges, donors of trophies and the ladies who had charge of the afternoon tea. She also referred to the good work done by the honorary secretary, Mr H. Mortensen, who so ably organised the show. Mrs Miller congratulated the exhibitors on the excellent display, srhieh, she said, would compare very favourably with those at much larger shows.
