* PERSONAL ITEMS. ("Times-Age” Special.) Mr and Mrs Trevor Hunte have returned from a visit to relatives at Wangahui. Mr and Mrs F. Lovegrove have left on a fortnight’s holiday in the South Island. During Mr Lovegrove’s absence Mr Gear, of Martinborough, will take'charge of the local branch of Messrs Pain and Kershaw. Christina Enoka has left for Dannevirke, where she will attend the High School. Mr and Mrs Stanton, Motueka, who have been on a motor tour of the North Island are.at present the guests of Mr and Mrs R. Clarke, Tuhitarata. Mesdames Hawkins and Cowan were visitors to Homewood at the weekend. Mrs Fenwick, who has been staying with Mrs R. H. McMaster, has returned to Napier. Mr Percy Haligan was a visitor to Wellington at the weekend. Women’s Institute. A committee meeting of the Women’s Institute was held on Tuesday. It was reported that the honours boars had been completed. The annual meeting will be held shortly. It was decided to make certain presentations for valued services rendered during the past year. Wedding. The marriage of Miss Louise Dermett to Mr Pachnnz took place at the Lower Hutt recently. The bride was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr Rangi Piripi. The honeymoon was spent in Wanganui. Mr and Mrs Pachnitz will reside at the Lower Hutt. Welcome Rain. After a lengthy period of hot and sultry weather, welcome rain, although light, fell here on Wednesday. The atmosphere has become considerably cooler. .
