ROYDHOUSE BUTTONS CHANGE HANDS. ■ L. D. Keedwell and J. Dwane. of the Carterton Tennis Club, defeated P. Hawksworth and Dr. O'Connor, of the Masterton Club, holders of the Roydliouse Champion Buttons, 6'5. 4 6, G'T. Hawksworlh was in one of his patchy moods, and Dr. O'Connor did not reproduce his top form. On the other hand. Keedwell had his drive going well, while Dwane played very steadily indeed and did some wonderful retrieving and provided openings for Keedwell. The Masterton pair went away with a strong lead and at 5/3, with 40/15 in their favour it looked like a foregone conclusion. The Carterton pair rallied gallantly, and to the! surprise ol all look the first, set G/.). They lost the second 4/6. but won the third and final set C/1.
