Reinforcements of troops from the front have been distributed throughout the city. The spokesman of the Defence Council reports that the city is calm as the troops continue to occupy Communist positions. BLOCKADE DECLARED SHIPS ENTERING PORTS TO BE SUNK. (Received This Day, 1.10 p.m.) BURGOS, March 8. The Admiralty forbids ships of any nationality. to enter harbours between Adra and Sagunto, comprising the whole Republican coast. Submarines have been ordered to sink any ships attempting to enter the ports. LA PASSIONARIA. ARRIVAL IN FRANCE. (Received This Day, 1.10 p.m.) MARSEILLES, March 8. La Passionaria has arrived en route to Paris. She protested against the French authorities at Oran treating her as a prisoner. The French Communist Deputy, M. Catala, told journalists: “I saved her from Spain at the peril of my life. I would not allow anyone to bother her.”
