POSITION QUITE SATISFACTORY. MEETING OF LICENSING COMMITTEE. (“Tirr.cs-Age” Special.) •■The position in the district is quite satisfactory and there are no adverse reports from the police,” stated Mr H, P. Lawry, S.M., at the quarterly sitting of the Wairarapa Licensing Committee at Carterton today. Applications for the transfer of licenses were granted to the following: J. W. Griffiths to R. Donworth, Gladstone Hotel: G. W. Corkery to A. S. Brice. Foresters' Arms Hotel, Greytown.
