LITTLE THEATRE SOCIETY
ARRANGEMENTS FOR COMING SEASON. SUB-COMMITTEES APPOINTED. A meeting of the executive of the Masterton Little Theatre . Society was held last night. Mr H. McKenzie Douglas, president, occupied the chair. Sub-committees were elected as follow:—Play' selection: Messrs V. Joseph, C. C. Marsack, T. C. Wynne, Miss Sutherland and Mrs Mirams. Casting: Mesdames R. Miller and E. J. Rich, Miss Jean Douglas and the producer. Social evenings: Misses J. Betts, N. Beetham. P. Shearer, Messrs J. Mackay and C. Kyngdon. Social plays: Misses Cruickshank, B. Coleman, P. Jordan and Messrs L. Tamblyn and J. A.- Kennedy. Publicity: Messrs E. K. Eastwood, G. C. Gaze and the secretary (Mr T. E. Handcock). Tutorial: Mesdames Cleghorn, Miller, Mirams and Mr Wynne. The first function of the season will be a social evening with three one-act plays, supper and dancing, to be held .n the Savage Club Rooms on April 3. The season’s premier major production will be a three-act play, “Housemaster,” by lan Hay. It is hoped to stage this at the end of April, and it is being put into rehearsal immediately. Mrs Peggy Mirams. who will be remembered in last season’s production of “Lovers’ Leap,” will be the producer.
