PERSONAL ITEMS
Mrs T. R. Barrer, Renall Street, left for Wellington yesterday. Mr and Mrs J. E. Broad, Fernyhurst, have left on a camping tour. Mr and Mrs H. E. Pither, of Lansdowne, left today for Christchurch. Mrs Middleton, of Wellington, has returned home after visiting Masterton. Mr and Mrs H. Mackenzie-Douglas, of Masterton, are visiting Christchurch for the Pipe Band contest. Mrs. L. Jones, who has been staying with Mrs E. G. Homewood, Whangarei, has returned to Masterton. The engagement is announced of Ansell, younger daughter of Mr J. D. Urquhart, Bayswater, Auckland, to Trevor George, younger son of Mr and Mrs E. G. Simons, Pahiatua.
Representing the Masterton branch of the Navy League at the civic reception to Lord Nuffield yesterday were;— Mesdames D. M. Graham, Garland, S. R. Gawith, F. Whitton, R. C. Drummond and Misses Sellar, Maunsell and Cameron.
