SCHOOL SWIMMING CARNIVAL. LIST OF PRIZE-WINNERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The second annual swimming carnival of the Greytown District High School was held on Monday afternoon at the Municipal Baths. The weather was beautifully fine and the programme of events went off without a hitch. The officials were as follow: —Announcer and programme organiser, Mr G. S. Maloney; starter and handicapper, Mr Whimp; judges, Messrs J. McFarlane, R. H. Anker and Mr A. J. Lane; recorders, Misses Stephens, Askew, Tully and Keddell. There was a good attendance of parents. Among those present were Mr J. F. Thompson, president of the Greytown Swimming Club, and Mr H. G. Carter, chairman of the School Committee. Results are as follow: —

Large entries are expected in the children’s section at the Greytown Flower Show on Friday, especially in the handwork classes. The photographic section, a new one, will also be popular. Swimming Baths. The Health Inspector visited the Greytown Swimming Baths on Tuesday, and acting on his advice the water is to be treated with chlorinate of lime. Native Land Court. Judge Sheppard, of the Native Land Court, is at present presiding over a sitting at Greytown. As this is the first occasion that Judge Sheppard has visited the Wairarapa in his official capacity he was welcomed by Mrs Heke Boyd, on behalf of the natives, and by Mr S. Gawith, on behalf of the legal profession. Personal. Mr H. Walden, of McMaster Street, left Greytown today to attend the finals of the New Zealand rifle shooting championships.
