LAUREL WREATH
PRESENTED TO PORTUGUESE ARTISTS. GRATITUDE OF OLD VIC COMPANY. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, March 3. (Received This Day, 10.55 a.m.) At the end of a concert by Portuguese artists at the Queen’s Hall tonight, a laurel wreath of victory was presented to the conductor, Senor Pedro Freitas Branco, on behalf of the Old Vic Company who recently visited Lisbon. The wreath is a token of gratitude for the enthusiastic reception given to the Old Vic by (heir Portuguese audiences.
