FLOATING DOCK
OFFERED BY BRITISH FIRM TO AUSTRALIA. ACCOMMODATION FOR CAPITAL SHIPS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright CANBERRA, March 1. It is reported that a leading British firm has offered to sell a floating dock to the Commonwealth for £250,000. It could be installed in Australia for about £500,000, compared with the cost of £2,000,000 for building a local dock capable of accommodating capital warships. The Federal Government is considering the offer.
