THREE INJURED
MOTOR-CAR FALLS INTO RIVER. ACCIDENT NEAR OKAIAWA. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Marell 1. Three people were injured when a car crashed through a bridge on the Okaiawa-Normanby road today and fell twenty feet into the Waingongoro River. They were: — David Myers, aged 11; extreme shock and water in the lungs;, condition reported, by the Hawera Hospital tonight to be serious. Mrs M. C. Myers, of Hawera; scalp and leg wounds. Mrs Clancy, of Greymouth; broken collarbone and leg wounds. Both women are reported to be progressing satisfactorily. The driver of the car, Mr Patrick Cadogan, of Alton, a farmer, was not seriously hurt. The car came to rest upside down in the river, the occupants escaping through the door.
