CRIPPLED CHILDREN

WAIRARAPA BRANCH ACTIVITIES A meeting ot the executive of Wairarapa Brm ch of the Crippled Children Socmlv was held on Mondiv afternoon, when a number of cases including several new ones were dealt with. Medical advice is to be obtained regarding operative treatment, for a young girl who suffers from hip trouble and arrangements are to be made for another girl to undergo an operation. Two children from this district, now inmates at the Wellington Hospital were visited by our Welfare Officer, who reported satisfactory progress. A Masterton boy at present in Wellington for treatment had been placed in a position with a manufacturing firm. His health is improving. During this month Mrs Kilgcur, Welfare Officer will visit crippled children throughout the Wairarapa. Any request to visit crippled children not on the Society’s register, would be welcomed.
