The Minister for Defence, Mr O. Pirow, after enduring bitter taunts in the Assembly regarding his recent mission to Europe, tersely enumerated the discussions he had as follows: —Airways, reciprocity of trade relations with Portugal and Belgium, investigated in Spain modern warfare methods in territory corresponding to the Union’s, discussed trade relations with Germany and Italy, paid a goodwill visit to Holland, discussed the international situation, with special reference to lasting world • peace, with European statesmen. His attitude was approved by his Ministerial colleagues.
