NICOLA THE GREAT
APPEARANCE AT REGENT TONIGHT. Artistic rivalry among illusionists and magicians has reached a point where the Great Nicola, who has spent twenty-five years touring the far corners of the globe, cuts a girl into three sections, instead of the conventional old time two parts, and then removes the centre segment, then the upper and lower, placing each of the three severed portions in different boxes. They magically re-unite themselves at the command of Nicola’s wishes. Bringing his show of international mysteries to the Regent Theatre, Masterton. this evening, he promises to perform this painless tri-section as one of the features of a programme with which he has just recently completed a tour of America’s principal theatres. The most startling feats of the Oriental fakirs and sorcerers have been added to Nicola’s programme, improved and revonated to suit the taste of Occidental audiences. It is said that Nicola’s scenic background is most lavish and gorgeous ever seen with any kind of a stage production regardless of its classification.
