THE Y.M.C.A.
NEW GENERAL SECRETARY TO BE'WELCOMED. The Masterton Y.M.C.A. has engaged Mr David McKee Wright, late of Nelson, to fill the vacancy created by the departure of Mr A. E. Bate to Auckland at the end of the present month. Mr Wright takes over his duties at the Y.M.C.A. today and an official welcome is to be extended to him tomorrow night in the Y.M.C.A. Hall at 8 p.m. The president of the association. Mr W. A. Clarke, will preside and addresses of welcome will be given by the Mayor, Mr T. Jordaii, the chairman of the Ministers’ Association (the Rev D. McNeur) and members of the senior and junior departments of the association. There will also be a short musical programme, followed by supper to be served by the Ladies’ Auxiliary. Citizens are cordially invited to be present at this function.
