“MISS FIX-IT.” “Miss Fix-It” will be shown finally tonight at the State Theatre. TOMORROW'S ATTRACTIONS. For lavishness of production, slickness of dialogue, and brilliance of the acting, “The Live Wire,” which will be shown at the State Theatre tomorrow, is said to be hard to beat. All three ingredients, so important for the ultimate perfection of screen entertainment, are here in force. Whilst this is a drama of the real modern type, it is also extremely funny, and its only fault is that the jokes come so fast that some are lost through laughter of the audience. For the romantic interest we have Jeane Gillie, Jack Buchanan’s glamorous leading lady costarring with Bernard Nedell. In the supporting cast are David Burns, Hugh Wakefield, Arthur Wontner, Irene Ware and Kathleen Kelly. The second attraction is “Kicking The Moon Around,” a brilliant new musical from Gaumont - British - Dominions, which brings to the screen an all-star cast headed by Ambrose and his Orchestra, Evelyn Dall.- Harry Richman and Florence Desmond. Ambrose and his Orchestra, universally famed by reason of their long-standing success on the stage and radio, provide something new in the way of screen entertainment in this film, which affords them equal scope to display their considerable histrionic abilities. Evelyn Dall, the lovely little blonde crooner, has a role which will present her to the public as an actress as well as a singer; Harry Richman in his own inimitable manner provides lyrical highlights; and Florence Desmond in a part ideally suited to her imitative talents, in addition to the character she portrays is given scope to mimic Greta Garbo.
