PRESENTATION
PIRINOA RESIDENT FAREWELLED. (“Times-Age” Special.) The members of the Pirinoa branch of the Women’s Institute paid a surprise visit to the residence of Mrs Gilbert Sutherland on Monday afternoon. During the afternoon Mrs Spicer, onbehalf of the members, presented Mrs Sutherland with an electric hot water jug and reading lamp and in so doing expressed the regret of members at her near departure from the district. Mrs Sutherland had always been an enthusiastic member of the Institute. The recipient, who was taken by surprise, feelingly responded. Mrs Sutherland will take up her residence in Masterton.
