Cries for help at about 10.45 last evening took two constables into the Petone Recreation Ground, where they found a youth lying on the ground. He said he had been sitting in one of the shelter sheds with a girl. Hearing a noise at the back, he went to investigate and alleged that a man threw pepper in his eyes.
