POSSIBLES v PROBABLES MATCH. GOOD GAME SEEN ON PARK OVAL. A baseball match. Possibles v Probables, held on the Park Oval last night, attracted a large gathering ol interested spectators. Although the match was a trifle slow at first the players soon became warmed up and some very fine play was witnessed. The fielding and batting on the pan of both sides was of an excellent standard and there is no doubt that a strong team will represent the Wairarapa ?.t the championships in Wellington next month.. The game resulted in a win for the Probables by 22 runs to 16. A great improvement to the arrangements would have been the installation of a loud speaker system. Those present would have been enabled to follow the game much easier had an announcer described the play. All players who look pai't in the match 'last night must be at a practice at the Hockey Grounds at 5.30 o’clock on Tuesday night. TEAMS FOR TOMORROW. The following Pirates Club players are requested to be at the hockey grounds tomorrow at 2.15 p.m. to take part in the match against Borthwicks Bears: G. Jones. N. Leadley. J. Pauling. C. Allen. P. Eastwood, H. Wellington. V. Thompson, K. Mills. D. Edwards, J. Bevan and J. Claridge. The following players are requested to be on the Hockey Grounds at 1.30 on Saturday to represent Harcombe Motors in a match against Fagan Motors (the game to start at 2. p.m.): E. Allen, E. Handy, N. Parsonson, A. Harp. W. Wickens, R. Killington, C. gregor, R. Bell. R. Curry, Finlayson.
