GOVERNOR OF BENGAL
DEATH OF LORD BRABOURNE. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. CALCUTTA. February 23. The death occurred today of Lord Brabourne, Governor of Bengal. Lord Brabourne was appointed Governor of Bengal in 1937. Previously, from 1933 to 1937. he was Governor of Bombay and from 1932 to 1933 lie was Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Secretary of State for India.
SIR R. N. REID APPOINTED. LONDON. February 23. Sir Robert Neil Reid has been appointed Acting-Governor of Bengal, following upon the death of Lord Brabourne.
