WEDDING
SOLON—McCORD. The home of the bride's parents, Albert Street, Masterton, was the scene of a pretty- wedding recently, the contracting parties being Phyllis, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs E. McCord, and Leslie Albert, eldest son of Mr and Mrs P. P. Solon, “Waiotira,” Owen’s Road, Epsom, Auckland. The bridegroom, who is well known in the theatrical and cabaret world, is Masterton manager for Amalgamated Theatres (N.Z.), Ltd., and the bride, a senior member of the staff, was very popular with both her fellow workers and patrons of the State Theatre. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev John Davie. The bride wore a pretty floral frock with a lemon-coloured georgette redingote and hat and shoes to tone, and she carried an autumn-tinted posy. She was attended by her sister, Miss Joyce McCord, who wore an attractive navy and white ensemble and carried a pretty posy to tone. Mr Harry Hope Cross attended the bridegroom as best man. After the reception Mr and Mrs L. A. Solon left for the south.
