ESCAPE FROM RULING
FORTY=SEVEN FOREIGNERS EVACUATED AS MANY REMAIN BEHiND. EARLY ATTACK INTENDED BY JAPANESE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 11.10 a.m.) SHANGHAI. February 22. Forty-seven foreigners, including nineteen British subjects and eleven Americans, have arrived at Kiukiang on foot from Killing, whence they were rescued by a naval mission. Fortyseven remain in Killing, including immoveable invalid;: and an English woman aged eighty-four. The Japanese intend to attack within forty-eight hours.
