CARE & PRUDENCE URGED GOOD RELATIONS WITH GERMANY ESSENTIAL. FORMER CONDITIONS GONE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 1.5 p.m.) PRAGUE, February 22. M, Chvalkovsky (Foreign Minister), in a speech to the National Unity Party, said Cechoslovakia must not provoke Providence and allow Munich to be the prelude to a new catastrophe. Many difficulties as a result of Munich must still be overcome. They must aim at the preservation of their frontiers and national independ-, ence. Propaganda aimed at creating illusions about a revival of the former conditions must cease. Good relations with Germany were a necessity of the utmost consequence. Germans in Czechoslovakia did not enjoy special privileges, but had the same rights as Czechs. If Germans desired to profess Nazism they must not be prevented. He added that Czechoslovakia could not survive another crisis and was not yet out of danger.
