WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

MEETING AT RONGOKOKAKO. ("Times-Age” Special.) At the first meeting of the year of the Rongokokako Women’s Institute, Mrs Sigvertsen presided over a goodattendance of members. Competitions for the month were won as follow: ‘ Best bloom: Miss D. Nagel (white gladioli), 1; Mrs Nagel (red gladioli), 2. Coconut ice: Mrs W. O’Neil, 1; Miss P. Littler, 2. Mystery pie (made by Mrs Payne) won by Miss E. Sigvertsen and Miss N. Smith. Two skill tests were won by Miss E. Sigvertsen and Miss N. Smith respectively. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Cherry and Falkner, after which the singing of the National Anthem brought a pleasant afternoon to a close.
