PARKING AT THE SHOW
(To the Editor.) Sir—ln view of the forthcoming Illness wook, I would like to draw attention to the parking at the recent Show. Some cars were expected and did park by the pens containing the weight-guessing stock. Surely the association. with their spacious grounds, could leave this area free in the interests of public health. Pause to think what that place would be on a real summer day —contamination of food by flies, etc.—l ’am, etc., ALL FOR HEALTH. Masterton, February 16. When the substance of the above letter was referred Io him, the secretary of the Mastorton A. and P. Association <Mr It. fl. Williams), said cars had parked on the same area for many years and no sign of any nuisance had appeared, even in seasons of very hot weather. Only a few animals were penned foi weight-guessing purposes. It spoke lor itself, Mr Williams observed, that car owners were willing to pay up Io 7s Gd for the privilege of parkiiii; in the area mentioned and a number of them had done so year after year lor a long, time past.
