CAR PARKING

POSITION IN MASTERTON. PARALLEL TO KERBING. In future all motor vehicles in Masterton must be parked parallel to the kerb. This decision was reached at last night's meeting of the Borough Council as the result of recommendations by the Borough Engineer and the Borough Inspector. The officials stated that the necessity for parallel parking was emphasised at the recent tennis tournament, when Dixon Street was almost impassable, cars being parked at right angles to the kerb on both sides of the street.
