KILLING AT WAINGAWA
START MADE ON BEEF TODAY. So rapid has been the progress of reconstruction at theWaingawa freezing works, the slaughter rooms of which were gutted by fire recently, that a start was made today with the slaughtering of beef. It was at first thought that no more beef killing would De done at the works this season. Men on the two mutton chains are working at peak pace and are putting through hundreds of sheep and lambs each day.
