KEEP FIT WEEK
CELEBRATIONS LN MASTERTON FURTHER ATTRACTIONS. MANY INTERESTING EVENTS. Masterton's observance of Physical Fitness Week will be continued tonight when the Masterton Amateur Athletic Club will hold a sports meeting at the Park, commencing at 6 o'clock. Tomorrow evening at 6 o’clock there will be a baseball match at the Park and at 7 p.m. there will be a demonstration in Queen Street of drill, gymnastics, lifesaving, folk and Scottish dancing. The Primary School sports will be held in the Park on Friday and there will be a school procession through the town at 2 p.m. Final arrangements have been made for- the open air dance which is to be held in Queen Street on Friday evening at 9 o'clock as a grand finale to the Keep Fit Week celebrations. Bright dance music will be dispensed by the Municipal Band and it is hoped that all present will enter into the spirit of the occasiom by actively participating. Seats will be placed along the footpaths and onlookers are asked to keep these clear for the use of the dancers. All shopkeepers in the Post Office block are urged to keep their premises, both downstairs and upstairs, fully lighted ,until 11 p.m. next Friday night.
