TIRAUMEA

CRICKET MATCHES. ("Times-Age” Special.) During the weekend Tiraumea played two games. The first was a championship game against Horoeka which was won by Horoeka with a threepoint win. . The scores were as follow:—Tirauniea. first innings, 112 (Hislop 45, C. Raleigh 23); second innings, 46 (Hislop 29, Scott 10). Horoeka. first innings 217 (A. Clemens 86, Little 60). Bowling for Horoeka, J. Hales took 4 wickets for 20 and A. Clemens 3 for 17; for Tiraumea Hislop took 4 wickets for 40 and Hart 3 for 37. The second game was the first of a series of games held annually to decide the winner of the Liverton Cup and was against Waihoki. Tiraumea won by 42 runs on the first innings. Scores: Waihoki 99 (F. Herbert 32, J. Liverton 27); Tiraumea 141 (Hislop 29, L. Curtis 27). Bowling for Tiraumea, J. Duncan took 6 wickets for 8 runs; for Waihoki, H. MacManaway took 3 wickets for 41 and J. Liverton 3 for 36.
