SCHOOL ASSOCIATION. ("Times-Age" Special.) : A meeting of the Home and School Association was held last night. Miss Card was in the chair, there being also present: Mesdames Saunders, Harkness, Lawson/ Carlyon, J. Buck, McKenzie, Halpin, Rea; Messrs Cole, Hayes, Allen, Robbins, Kilsby. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs Shepherd and Lowell. The following sub-committee was appointed to conduct the euchre tournaments: Mesdames Harkness, McKenzie, .Rea, Messrs Lowell, Rea, Hayes, with power to add. The first night of the aggregate prize is to be Tuesday, February 21. It was decided to approach the School Committee in connection with arrangements for supplying hot drinks to children who take their lunch to school in the winter months. Euchre Party and Dance. The euchre party and dance held on Saturday in the Pihautea Hall was well attended. The statue waltz was 1 won by Mr B. Cade and Miss N. Cor- • let. Personal. Mr Ken Schon left on Saturday with the Dannevirke Band to take part in the New Zealand Brass Band championships at Christchurch. Mr Schon, who is well known throughout the Wairarapa as the drummer in Udy’s Orchestra, has entered for the side drum and quickstep contests.
