SENT TO GAOL
INTOXICATED MOTOR-CYCLIST. (By 'S-aiegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A sentence of ten days imprisonment with hard labour was imposed on Frederick Hazel, a labourer aged '27, who was arrested for being drunk in charge of a motor-cycle. His licence was cancelled and he was prohibited from obtaining another for twelve months. OTHER OFFENDERS FINED. WANGANUI, This Day. Ramiha Poari. a labourer, was fined £2O by Mr J. A. Salmon, S.M., and his licence was cancelled for a year, for being intoxicated while in charge of a motor vehicle. George Love was fined £2O for a similar offence. His licence was not cancelled, as he was engaged in motor hire business, and the use of a car was essential.
