INTER CLUB MATCHES. MASTERTON v. HAUNUI. Matches were played during the week between Haunui and Masterton clubs the results being as follows, Masterton players mentioned first in each game:— < Doubles: Mesdames Donnelly and Polson beat Mesdames Barry and Watson, 26-18. Mesdames Finlayson and Bassett, beat Misses Nix and Card, 2619. Singles: Mrs Donnelly lost to Mrs Watson, 21-26; Mrs Bassett lost to Miss Card, 21-26; Mrs Finlayson beat Miss Nix, 26-4; Mrs Polson beat Mrs Barry, 26-17.
Playing at Haunui yesterday for the “A” gold buttons, Mesdames Donnelly and Polson beat Mrs Barry and Miss. Card, 26-12; intermediates, Mesdames Doggett and Weller, lost to Mesdames Watson and Hankers, 17-26.
