POWER BOARD

LOAN PROPOSED FOR FURTHER EXTENSIONS. TINUI & LANGDALE AREA. (“Times-Age" Special.) At the meeting of the Wairarapa Power Board today those present were: Messrs A. Campbell Pearce (chairman), S. Tinui mid Langdale districts, the loan to be for a period of 26 years, interest to bo at 31 per cent. A letter was received from the Public Works Department regarding the taking over of the switchgear in the control of the main sub-station. It was decided to leave the matter with the secretary-manager, with power to act. The board agreed m carry out lighting work on tin- Park Oval for the iviasterton Bi aulifying Society at halTcost. The sociely and ihe Y.M.C.A., it was. stated, intended to hold a carnival there in March.
