OBITUARY

MRS ANNIE ANDREWS. The many friends of Mrs Annie Andrews, of "Burnside.” Mt. Albert, Auckland, will regret to hear oi her death, which occurred in Auckland on Tuesday. The late Mrs Andrews was well-known in Masterton, her parents, the late Mr and Mrs Richard McKenzie, having arrived here in 1855. They owned the land now known as Memorial Park and also had a town acre adjoining the present Post Office. This latter block later came into the possession of Mrs Andrews, though only a small portion is still owned by her. Her parent's home in Masterton was known as Burnside. - Mrs Andrews was born in Masterton and resided here until after her marriage. She was educated at the first school in Masterton. which was located in Lincoln Road. She is survived by a widower and a grown-up family.
