Frost. 1 degree. General situation: An anti-cyclone of slight intensity is moving from the north Tasman Sea on to northern New ‘ Zealand but a fresh depression is forming over the south Tasman. Forecast: Moderate to strong west to north-west winds reaching gale force at times; weather (air to fine at first but some scattered and light rain probable later in and west of the ranges; temperatures cool to moderate.
