The Arab conference was resumed this morning. This afternoon discussions between the Jewish delegation and the British Government representatives are peing resumed. Dr Weizmann, pleading -for homeless and helpless Jews, informed the Palestine Conference that Arabs and Jews could meet beneficially only on the basis of a fully performed mandate and also of Jewish immigration to saturation point, the active development of land and safeguarding of minority status. Dr Weizmann regretted that the conference had opened before the restoration of law and order in Palestine. ARAB CASE RIGHT TO GOVERN DEMANDED. BRITISH TJE MUST BE BASED ON JUSTICE. (Received This Day, 12.55 p.m.) WINNIPEG. February 13. Unless the Arab’s right to govern Palestine is recognised, the whole Arab world will bo forced into a desperate struggle with Britain, states Fuad Chalil Mufarri, of Damascus, secretary of the Arab National Bureau, in an address before the Institute of International Affairs. '■Such, a struggle,” he said, "would be unfortunate for Britain, if London desires to preserve an interest in the Suez Canal and in the air route to India. The Arabs would prefer the British tie if based on justice, but will nfit premit it to be used for subjection and colonisation. Britain had no right to promise the Jews part of Palestine.”
