PARIS MURDER
REPORT BY MEDICAL MEN GRYNZSPAN RESPONSIBLE FOR ACTIONS. TRIAL PROBABLY IN MAY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received This Day, 9.30 a.m.) PARIS, February 13. Doctors have declared Herschel Grynzspan responsible for his actions. His trial probably will be held in May. On November 7, 1938, Dr von Rath. Secretary to the German Embassy in Paris, was shot and fatally wounded by a young Polish Jew, Herschel Grynzspan, who was at once arrested by the French police and has since been held in custody. The death of von Rath was followed by a ferocious pogrom in Germany in which many Jews were injured and some done to death and by wholesale measures of confiscation of Jewish property and expulsion of Jews from the Reich. These outrageous- persecutions, have aroused world-wide protests, not least notably in the United States.
