CRIPPLED CHILDREN

EDUCATION ARRANGEMENTS. ACTIVITIES IN WAIRARAPA. At a meeting of the Executive of the Wairarapa Branch of the N.Z. Crippled Children Society held yesterday afternoon, it was reported that arrangements had been completed for the education of several crippled children during the present year. Two boys will attend College, another will continue his engineering studies at the College, while a girl has been enrolled for dressmaking and other classes. Provision for a correspondence course in dressmaking has been made for a girl who is unable to attend the College. Purchases of school books to value of 15s was authorised. Further consideration was given to the case of a girl who suffers from a dislocated hip. As this girl is at an age when further treatment may be advisable it was resolved to make enquiries with a view to having X-rays taken.
