WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

GLADSTONE MEETING. (“Times-Age" Special.) The Gladstone Women's Institute held its monthly meeting on Thursday last. Mrs McKay presided over a small attendance of members. A very interesting lecture was given by Mrs T. R. Barren. The best bloom competitions resulted: —Senior, Mrs Riddle, 1. Mrs Henderson. 2; junior. Miss A. Bubb, 1, and Miss N. Bubb.

In the vegetable salad competition Miss A. Bubb was first and Miss N. Wyeth, second. Two delegates were appointed for the Federation meeting to be held in April —Mesdarnee P. Cooper and Mills.
