TANSEY SHIELD. WIN FOR MASTERTON-OPAKI. Four teams participated in the contest for the Tansey Shield at Papawai on Saturday and the result was a win for Masterton-Opaki by 13 points from Alfredton. lan Sutherland, of Opaki, was top scorer with 95. W. Johnson (Featherston) finished with the same total but his score at the longer range was 1 point below the former’s. Another 95 was registered by H. Duckett, Alfredton. Scores: —

Mr G. Hyde, a former New Zealand and Wairarapa shooting representative, presented the shield to the winning team. DISTRICT TEAMS MATCH. WAIRARAPA TEAM SELECTED.
