KURIPUNI SUNDAY SCHOOL
ENJOYABLE PICNIC. The members of the Kuripuni Methodist Sunday school held their annual picnic at the Solway showgrounds on Saturday last, when over one hundred children had a thoroughly enjoyable time.
In the afternoon races provided a source of amusement, and profit to the lucky competitors. The committee was able to offer such attractive prizes by the generosity of the various local firms.
The Rev F. J. Parker presented the prizes—after delivering a short address to parents and friends. ‘'This delightful gathering” commented Mr Parker, “is largely due to the generosity of the business community of Masterton. whose sympathies are always with the children.’
The president endorsed these sentiments, making mention of gifts received from Messrs Watson and Co, of groceries, and Mr Kerslake, which arrived after the list of donations had been published by the "Times-Age.”
