SWIMMING

TONIGHT’S CARNIVAL. Judging by the large attendance of public at last Thursday’s Club night, there are very many people in Masterton who are interesting in swimming. Tonight they will be given even better entertainment at the Dixon St baths, it being the occasion of the Masterton Club’s annual carnival. Entries from as far afield as Wellington. Dannevirke and Palmerston North have been received and everything augurs well for a good evening’s sport. Just a word of warning to the public—after such a warm day as has been experienced today, it is advisable to bring a tug to the carnival tonight, as the weather conditions will probably be on the cool side. Programmes may be obtained from the Secretary. (Mr F. Morton), or bought at the baths.
