Mr Arch. Curry, of 3YA Station. Christchurch, is on a visit to Masterton.
The Rev Father J. Seymour, S.M.. who has been in Australia for some time, is returning to the Dominion and will be stationed in Timaru. He was formerly in Wanganui. Mr A. S. McWhinnie, of the merchandise department of the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. (Masterton), has received notice of his transfer to the Palmerston North branch of this company, and will commence his new duties on Monday. February 20. A London cablegram states that Mr Melville Gray, of Perthshire, a bachelor aged 91, is affianced to Miss Ada Julius, of Christchurch, daughter of the late Archbishop Julius. . They met in 1909 in New Zealand, where Mr Gray lived for forty years. He returned to England in 1911. At the meeting of the Masterton Central School Committee on Thursday the chairman (Mr J. E. MeV. Calwell) and other members offered their hearty congratulations and good wishes to the secretary of the committee (Mr A. W. G. Hollings) on the recent celebration of his golden wedding. Mr HollingY made suitable acknowledgement.
